Class Insurance

January 2011

UK & Ireland Insurance Services (Online) Limited wanted a website for their new trading style, Class Insurance. This was to provide details of their product, a quote request, contact and 'call me back' form. The site was based on a leaflet that had already been designed ready to be sent out to schools across the country.

L to Drive

May 2011

When Ian became a driving instructor he knew that he needed a presence on the internet. The site is a simple one-page design with a contact form and some useful links related to learning to drive.

Bradford Jesus Man

November 2010

A fun site to track the whereabouts of the 'famous' Bradford Jesus Man (also known as Bradford Monk, Holy Joe and Mad Monk). It's a bit of fun with a lovely caricature drawn by Bli of Blimation.com.

The Antique Glass Studio

October 2010

An online 'brochure' for the Bradford-based stained-glass window company. The owner requested a modern site but with a traditional 'feel' to it. Serif fonts and large drop-cap's were used to meet this requirement.

Great Shakes

September 2010

New milkshake bar in Bingley that wanted a bright, fresh, modern site as a source of information alongside their Facebook group. Great Shakes is the first of it's kind in Bingley, West Yorkshire and have a huge selection of over 150 different flavours of freshly prepared milkshake!

The Old White Bear

July 2010

Pub website and blog. The client required a blog, events calendar and ease of use for updating the site. Wordpress was used as the backbone and skinned by Salt & Light Solutions. The design allows for the client to add their own new sections when required.

June 2010

Website for local community centre run by Sunbridge Road Mission, Bradford. The site includes news updates, information for weekly meetings and groups and a photo gallery.

True Liberty

Redesign May 2010

Christian punkers, True Liberty, have a new record out in June and wanted the website to reflect the album artwork. Much of the content was kept the same but the overall look of the site was changed dramatically (see below for the previous version).

Redesign November 2009

Personal website of MaFt. Essentially a hub to other sites and his blog. This update was long overdue as MaFt was spending more time on other peoples websites than on his own...

FindStuffNear.me

October 2009

Mobile-device targetted Location-Based website that gets the users GPS location (if available) or manual address entry and shows points of interest nearby such as Asda, McDonalds, Car Parks etc.

Rheolas

July 2009

A website to showcase the work, label and shop of Rheola - a South African Arts and Crafts artisan. The site is designed to feel hand made, whilst also being easy to use, and nice on the eyes.

Hope House

Rebuilt July 2009

An updated and redesigned website for the children's home operated by Tshwaranang community centre with details, history and information for donations or queries. A fairly simple site, with a layout and design to appear childlike.

JProductions

May 2009

A redesigned and fully rebuilt website for JProductions who specialise in Wedding Videography as well as youth and schools workshops. The site was updated to a more modern look and feel as well as improving navigation around the site and ease of contact with the company.

seventyseventimes (77x)

Redesign April 2009

Updated site for seventyseventimes (77x) featuring new colour scheme, content and various 'Web 2.0' effects for the media and band profile pages.

True Liberty

January 2009

Band website for Christian Punks, True Liberty (based in Richmond, Virginia). This was a rebuild of an old, existing site that was vastly in need of an update. A custom administration area was produced allowing the band to add, edit and update news items and show dates as and when needed.

Epping High Street Surgery

Rebuilt October 2008

A profile website for Epping Surgery. After building the initial site in 2006, Chris was asked to add a customisation option, allowing the staff to update the front page when necessary. It also incorporates a CSS drop down menu, and an alternate display for less capable browsers.

Iain S. Boyd (B.Ch.D, Dip.Con.Sed)

October 2008

Single page site to advertise that the dentist Iain (Ian) Boyd has moved practice to Leeds.

Sunbridge Road Mission

September 2008 (Original Version September 2007)

Information web site for Sunbridge Road Mission. PHP and MySQL powered, it features a custom made Content Management System for easy editing of pages by certain users as well as menu-management and admin functions. The entire site was completely rebuilt in September 2008 to utilise a fully CSS layout and menu but still based upon the same database backbone.

JT Photography

Rebuilt September 2008 (Now managed by J. Bollinger.)

We were asked to design a custom website to showcase Jonathan Tyrrell's photography. Chris and MaFt coded a custom php guided menu, and an automatically processing image display script. This was used to create a site that gave justice to the art it contained.

Garmin POIs

September 2008 (Original Version October 2005)

Site dedicated to providing custom points of interest for Garmin Personal Navigation Devices. The site was completely re-built from scratch using a CSS-only design for a neater, more modern look and feel. Google Maps were integrated into the POI submission form and a 'fading scroll' was used to expand and hide certain parts of the site.

Names Not Numbers

June 2008

The website for the charity Names Not Numbers. This charitable organisation raises money for two other charities; Tshwaranang and the Ian Burnell Trust. Based in Sheffield. Chris is on the board, and also runs the website.

Tshwaranang Community Centre

March 2008

Tshwaranang is a charity based in the Free State, in South Africa. They operate from a town called Harrismith, working in the surrounding area, especially within the nearest townships; Intabazwe, Tshiame and Mokgolokoeng. Chris created a style that updated, but conformed, to their original company colour scheme. He also created a promotional video for distribution and advertisement.

MedRevise

January 2008

As part of his medical studies, Chris has produced a large amount of notes. What began as a simple way of keeping track of them has become a resource accessed internationally. Using the MediaWiki MySql backbone, MedRevise is a free online encyclopaedia of medical knowledge and medical revision. With pictures, videos, jokes and lots of concise information, anyone can read it, and anyone can update it!

seventyseventimes (77x)

December 2007

When Punk Worship rebranded themselves as seventyseventimes I also completely redesigned their website from scratch. The PayPal shopping cart is fully integrated within the site as well as using the same image gallery effects that were used in the Jalapeno Drums site. The site is also fully W3C validated for XHTML 1.0 Transitional.

Jalapeno Hand Made Drums

November 2007

To celebrate David's coming of age (40th) MaFt redesigned and updated the Jalapeno Drums website. Criteria included being easily navigable as well as using all the original filenames to keep the already high search engine rankings. The old files were all HTML but the new site is PHP so code was used that renders HTML as PHP. The site is also fully W3C validated both for XHTML 1.0 Transitional and for CSS.

Paul's Computer Services

This was a site-redesign where the client was aware that his current site was turning customers away due to it's unprofessional look.

Christian Punks

Rebuilt August 2007

News, reviews and community site dedicated to all things Christian and Punk. A customised template based on the Joomla CMS backbone.

Migrant Workers Information Bradford

May 2007

Working closely with a small team at Bradford College / Bradford Council this site was designed to be a cost-effective way of distributing a booklet rather than having to fund the costs of physically printing extra copies. The booklet, not designed by MaFt, gives guidance to Migrant Workers coming to Bradford such as employment rights as well as more practical information like putting your bins out and being a good neighbour!

Field Sports & Social Club

May 2006

Information and news web site that has specific pages that are user-editable to keep league tables and announcements up to date easily.

The Quran - A Closer Look

July 2007

A single page of information with an e-book in PDF format. Both the site and the PDF creation/branding were done by MaFt.co.uk/design.

Hill Top Inn

2003 - 2004 (Discontinued)

Pub site for news, information and special events. An agreement was made for the landlord to email a newsletter on a weekly basis for keeping the regulars up to date.
